About us
The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust (CTRT) was founded in 1985. Our main role is to research why and how cancers develop; find better ways of detecting and monitoring cancers, and testing new treatments. The CTRT has played a key role in funding the research work undertaken by consultants at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood, Middlesex; Hammersmith Hospital and Charing Cross hospital, London.
Our mission is to enable consultants to continue turning research ideas into exciting research studies and new life-saving treatments.
Our trustees
Our trustees are responsible for guiding and overseeing CTRT’s objectives. They meet regularly to manage resources; to review and update policies or strategies. CTRT is made of up volunteers including our trustees, this is to ensure that we can remain passionate when conducting research studies and discovering new life-saving treatments.
