Volunteering with Cancer Treatment and Research Trust puts you at the heart of our work. There is a range of ways you can help, from participating in our events to helping with our admin.
CTRT is looking to strengthen its community fundraising by organising meaningful events and providing fundraising opportunities for the public.
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to support our fundraising with the range of tasks:
- Helping organise fundraising events and challenges
- Research into public shows and event that CRTR could attend to engage with existing and new audiences
- Engaging with CTRT supporters and the general public
- Sharing fundraising ideas with other volunteers and putting these into practice
- Promoting CTRT existing fundraising initiatives
This role will suit someone who wants to apply and develop their creativity and communication skills for a good cause. Together we will develop a portfolio of fundraising events meaningful to our supporters.
Skills, abilities and qualities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation skills
- Knowledge of community networks (would be an advantage)
- Previous fundraising experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to interact with people in an engaging manner
- Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
- Access to own computer
- The ideal commitment would be 3 – 6 hours/week
This is a flexible role which can be shaped around the interests and skills of the volunteer. So, if it sounds interesting but you’re not sure if you would be able to do all the elements, please do get in touch and have a chat. You may still be able to make a vital contribution to the work of CTRT.
CTRT is looking to strengthen and improve its online presence to achieve greater visibility of its vital work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to support CTRT with a range of communication tasks, primarily social media, website and marketing.
This role will suit someone who wants to apply their creativity, exiting ideas and digital skills for a good cause. Together we will develop compelling and high impact communication channels that demonstrate the importance of cancer research and the need for more support to advance the trust’s mission.

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with web design and website support
- Enjoying creating interesting new content
- Ability to interact with people in an engaging manner
- Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
- Access to own computer
- The ideal commitment would be 3 – 6 hours/week
