Create a lasting tribute to a loved one with a CTRT In Memory page.

Are you thinking of setting up an In Memory page for a loved one on behalf of CTRT but unsure on where to start? We’ve laid out all the information here that you will initially need to create your tribute page.

What is an In Memory page?

An In-Memory is a personalised tribute page that commemorates and celebrates the life of someone special and helps continue raising funds in their memory.

It is an online space where you, your family and friends can share photos, stories, and memories about a loved one and donate to support The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust.

Why create an In Memory page?

An In Memory page is a wonderful way to remember a loved one, to celebrate their life and their commitment to a cause. The funds raised will be used by our charity to conduct life-changing cancer research and support the treatment of patients at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Charing Cross, and Hammersmith Hospitals.

Your In Memory page can also be an effective way of keeping track of past, current and future fundraising, or donations you may receive in memory of your loved one by keeping them all in one place.

How do I create an In Memory page?

It’s easy to get started and create your own In Memory page. Simply visit our dedicated In Memory page on the CTRT website here: Online tribute funds and click ‘Create a Tribute fund’ and follow the step-by-step process. It only takes a few minutes to complete. There is an option to set a fundraising target on the page if you would like to include this.

New In Memory feature – Light a Candle
In Memory pages now have the ability to feature a virtual candle which can be lit by a loved one, along with a donation, to mark a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas, or simply to honour a memory. The Light a Candle feature provides you and your family and friends with the opportunity to share a more personal donation in memory of your loved one, and to continue to return and pay tribute to them for years to come.

Is there a fee to set up an In Memory page?

Your In Memory page is free to set up.

Can I add Gift Aid to my donation?

Yes. If your gift is eligible, simply tick the Gift Aid box when you make your donation.

Can I add offline donations?

If you have sent donations to us separately in the post or have fundraised for an event on a different platform, there is an option for these amounts to be included and combined in your In Memory page fundraising platform. This is usually best practice so that you, your family and friends can see all fundraising in one place.

Is there someone I can talk to directly about my In Memory page?

If you have any questions or want to chat through setting up your page, the friendly CTRT can help. Please contact us by email on info@ctrtrust.co.uk or give us a call on 07758 739185.

Thank you for considering setting up an In Memory page to honour the memory of your loved one and support CTRT in our important cancer research.

London Saucony 10k 2025 Team CTRT

Dr Anand Sharma and team raise money for Urological Cancers supported by CTRT.

On Sunday 13th July, a team of 10 fundraising hero runners including our very own trustee Dr. Anand Sharma braved the summer heat and ran the iconic Saucony 10k in London, collectively raising a massive £8,376 for a current trial in biomarker testing for urological cancers.

The Saucony 10K is a popular race in the capital where live bands, DJs and cheering fans power runners through the route, which takes in some of London’s most famous landmarks — including Westminster Bridge, The London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Big Ben.

2025 was Dr. Sharma’s 5th year taking part in the 10k run, running in aid of the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust (CTRT), which supports his research activity for his urology patients (Testicular cancer, ovarian germ cell cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer).

Dr Sharma explains: “We are currently conducting a trial in a biomarker testing in urology cancers. CTRT supports the salaries of our research nurses, study coordinators, data managers, and research fellow, who run our extensive clinical trial and research program.

Without contributions to CTRT we would not be able to offer our patients access to the most innovative new drugs or perform research to allow us to better understand the diseases we treat and the drugs that we use.

Thank you for supporting our work, which directly results in benefits for our patients.”

London Marathon 2025 Team CTRT

Five heroes, one aim: to raise vital funds for the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust

On Sunday April 27th, five amazing individuals laced up their trainers and joined forces with over 56,000 other runners to complete the 45th TCS London Marathon. In doing so, Ricky and Jess White, Nigel Texeira, Skye Wilde and Fabi Bartella raised an astounding £13,010 and counting for the Cancer Treatment and Research Trust, helping us in our mission to improve lives through research by developing kinder and more effective cancer treatments.

Not only was it a historic day — attracting a record-breaking number of participants (56,640), breaking the world record for the biggest annual one-day fundraising event (£75 million and still counting!) and setting 41 new world records (including the fastest marathon dressed as a crustacean!) — but it was also a hot one! Temperatures peaked at 21°C, and runners were advised to “Slow down, smile, enjoy it” — advice that was inevitably easier to follow with the sun shining brightly, the crowds cheering enthusiastically and a route laden with landmarks. Starting in Greenwich Park, the iconic 26.2-mile journey through the heart of the capital takes in the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, the Tower of London, the London Eye and Big Ben, culminating at The Mall near Buckingham Palace.

Each of our five superstars had their own, personal reason for taking on the challenge: Fabi’s was to remember the life of her grandad, while Skye was inspired by her late nan to raise funds for cancer research; brother and sister duo Ricky and Jess’s fundraising page proudly states ‘Running for a Cure; Help Us Beat Cancer!’, and it had been a long ambition of Nigel’s to run the London Marathon. Their shared goal, however — to support CTRT — will ensure that the impact of their arduous training and successful completion of the event will extend way beyond the finish line. The vital funds raised by our incredible runners will be used to research why and how cancers develop, find better ways of detecting and monitoring cancers, and test new treatments.

If you’re feeling motivated by reading this, why not take a look at our Challenge Events page to find opportunities to push your limits or simply have fun to support our cause? Whether it’s running (like these legends) or bungee jumping, your participation can make a real difference.
